This massive brick building stands in the Ohio Town of Delaware located about twenty five miles north of Columbus. The front looks like an beautiful Victorian era home but it has a large section added to the back. This was the jail for Delaware County. Built in 1878 the sheriff and his family lived in the house. I am not sure when the sheriff no longer resided in the jail but the county used the building for offices and a jail until 1988. Recently it has been sold the the Delaware County Historical Society.
